Melanie
has recorded 23 albums in a career spanning over 30 years. Known for her hits
"Brand New Key", and "Beautiful People", as well as her
appearance at Woodstock, she was the first female to have three records in the
Top 40 simultaneously. Recent credits include an Emmy Award in 1989 for her
song "The First Time I Loved Forever", and her album "Freedom
Knows My Name", on the Lone Star label. Most recently, she released an
anthology/Silver Anniversary album, and she appeared at the Woodstock reunion
in Bethel, New York
